PACKING & LABELING GUIDELINES
INNER PACK PACKAGING

Inner packs must contain only one individual SKU and be labeled with appropriate Inner Pack Label. If the item is sold in pairs, sets, or other unique groupings, place the set or multiple pieces within a single package. Please follow the chart below for inner pack quantities. For items not listed below, please contact the appropriate UPR Merchandise Buyer. If Vendor is unsure of inner pack quantity or Master Carton quantity, please contact the buyer.

EACH INNER PACK BOX MUST LABELED. Refer to sample Inner Pack Label.

POLYBAGS

Polybags must meet the following specifications:

   1. Material must be clear polyethylene.

   2. All polybags must have the following warning label:

WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation keep bag away from babies and children.

Do not use in cribs, carriages or playpens. This bag is not a toy .

   3. The item contained within the polybag must be ticketed, and each polybag must have the        appropriate inner pack label.


PACKAGING GUIDELINES

All corrugated shipping containers must meet minimum industry standards of ply weight, compression strength, and puncture resistance.

A. MASTER CARTONS

All individually labeled inner packs are to be put into master cartons. ONE SKU PER CARTON ONLY. Please refer to the following carton measurements chart for appropriate sizing of your master carton and note that no individual carton may exceed 50 lbs.

Placement - Place the Master Carton Label in two locations: (1) the smallest or end panel and (2) the longest or side panel, in the upper right corner. See Instructions Below

Note: For perishable items (candy etc.) vendor must add the expiration or "Best By" date on Master Carton labels in Description Box. Use standard U.S. date format.

B. PACKING SLIP

  1. A packing slip must accompany each shipment and include the following information:

   2. Enclose a packing slip with each shipment in a poly envelope attached to carton #1 or the lead    pallet.

   3. UPR Purchase Order number must be clearly marked on packing slip.

C. PALLETIZED CARTON PACKAGING

No individual carton is to exceed 50 lbs . On multiple carton shipments, each carton must be marked with carton number per Purchase Order - total number of cartons, i.e., "1 of 5" or "1 of 10".

All merchandise must be in cartons and all cartons on pallets with dimensions of as follows:

   . 48" X 40" with a maximum fork clearance of 3 1/2".

   . Maximum height of stacked cartons is 84" including pallet.

   . All cartons may not exceed the length & width of the pallet.

   . Cartons must be stacked on the pallet preferably in an interlocking pattern.

Cartons must be secured to the pallet with the load properly stabilized to prevent shifting in transit. Stretch-wrapping film is a minimum requirement.
